Privacy Policy for SwipeSort

SwipeSort helps you review and sort photos and, from version 1.1, videos in your device library. This policy covers local processing on Android and iOS and the optional services available in your installed version. Feature and platform availability follow the current store release.

1. Controller and contact

2. What SwipeSort does

With the operating system's permission, SwipeSort reads photos, videos and the metadata needed to display and organize the system media library.
Media access is used for continuous review, local video playback and sorting of the library. Video playback starts muted, and a photos-only review mode is available in Settings.
Photo and video content, file names, album names, media identifiers and capture locations are not uploaded to a pezezzle server or intentionally sent to the services listed below.
Decisions, settings, temporary previews and daily usage quotas are stored locally on the device.
A photo or video is deleted only after explicit confirmation from you and the applicable Android or Apple system confirmation.
SwipeSort has no user account and no pezezzle media-cloud backend.

3. Photo and video permissions and local processing

SwipeSort requests the Android photo and video permissions or Apple Photos access needed to review your media library. Depending on the operating-system version and your selection, access may cover the library or only selected items. You can choose to review photos, videos, or both in version 1.1. The app reads media content and necessary metadata such as media identifiers, file and album names, dates, dimensions, orientation, available file sizes, video duration and—only where present and available through the granted permission—capture location. These data are processed locally to display the library, play videos, remember decisions, build a local media index, create temporary previews and carry out deletions you request.

On Apple devices, enabling Allow iCloud previews permits Apple Photos to download previews as you browse; you can also request an individual preview. A cloud-only video requires the separate Load video from iCloud action before full playback. These transfers are handled by Apple Photos and may use mobile data. SwipeSort does not upload your media to pezezzle, TikTok or the other optional services. Android video playback reads the permitted system media directly without copying the original video into SwipeSort storage.

The purpose is to provide the app's core functionality. The legal basis is performing the app service requested by you and, where applicable, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. You can change photo and video permission in Android settings or iOS Settings; the app may then be unable to display or organize affected media.

4. Local storage and deletion

Sorting decisions, the local media index, preferences, temporary previews, consent choices and daily quota data remain in the app's local storage until replaced, removed in the app where available, cleared through device settings, or deleted by uninstalling SwipeSort. Temporary previews are replaced or removed as part of normal app use. The operating system and photo-library provider control final deletion of media, including any system trash or recovery period.

There is no account to delete. Clearing SwipeSort's local data or uninstalling it removes the app's local records but does not restore photos or videos already deleted from the media library. Use the relevant Android gallery or Apple Photos “Recently Deleted” album to recover an item while it is still available there.

5. Optional third-party services

A. Firebase Analytics

Analytics is off unless you expressly enable it in SwipeSort. If enabled, Google Firebase processes technical usage events, for example that a review round started or ended and which app feature was used, together with app-instance, device, operating-system and approximate region information ordinarily generated by the SDK. SwipeSort does not include photos, videos, file names, album names, media identifiers or capture locations in analytics events.

The purpose is to understand feature use and improve the app. The legal basis is your consent. Recipients are pezezzle and Google Ireland Limited/Google LLC and their processors. You can withdraw consent at any time in SwipeSort settings; this stops future Analytics collection from the app. User-level Analytics event data is configured for no more than 14 months; aggregated reports without a direct app-instance reference may remain longer. B. Firebase Crashlytics

Crash reporting requires a separate voluntary opt-in. If enabled, Firebase Crashlytics may receive crash stack traces, app version, crash time, device model, operating-system version, memory and storage state, installation identifiers and related diagnostic information. SwipeSort does not intentionally attach photo or video content to crash reports.

The purpose is diagnosing failures and improving reliability. The legal basis is your consent. Recipients are pezezzle and Google Ireland Limited/Google LLC and their processors. You can withdraw in app settings. Future reports are not deliberately submitted while reporting is off. A report still waiting on the device is not intentionally sent after withdrawal and can also be removed by clearing SwipeSort's app data or uninstalling it. Reports already transmitted cannot be recalled; Firebase states that Crashlytics crash data and associated identifiers are retained for 90 days before removal begins. C. Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform

SwipeSort shows no banners, automatically started interstitials or automatically played ads. After the free daily limit is reached, you may voluntarily start a rewarded ad to continue. After the UMP flow, and only when the resulting consent status permits an ad request, SwipeSort sends a standard Google Mobile Ads request; it does not force exclusively non-personalized ads. Depending on your region, consent choices and Google's requirements, Google may deliver personalized, non-personalized, limited or technical ads. The Android production build includes the com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID permission. Where an Android Advertising ID is available and its use is permitted, Google and participating advertising partners may process it together with the IP address, coarse location derived from it, app and device information, ad impressions and interactions, and diagnostics for ad personalization, ad delivery and frequency control, advertising measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, security and compliance. The Android Advertising ID can be reset or deleted in Android's privacy settings.

Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) is used to obtain, store and apply required privacy choices before ads are requested. Privacy options can be reopened from SwipeSort settings. Ad processing is based on consent where required and otherwise on the applicable legitimate interests in delivering the user-requested reward, measuring delivery, maintaining security and preventing fraud. Recipients are Google Ireland Limited/Google LLC and the advertising partners shown in the UMP message. pezezzle receives aggregated ad reports rather than full payment or media data. Local consent choices remain until changed, reset, app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled; Google and its partners apply their own documented retention periods. The current iOS build does not request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) authorization and does not use IDFA for tracking. D. Apple In-App Purchase, Google Play Billing and RevenueCat

SwipeSort offers a one-time lifetime purchase, not a subscription, while this product model remains unchanged. Apple processes purchases on iOS and Google Play processes purchases on Android. RevenueCat validates the receipt and records the entitlement so the purchase can be recognized and restored on the applicable store account. These services may process transaction and product identifiers, purchase token or receipt data, country, app and device information, diagnostics and a randomly generated anonymous app-user identifier. pezezzle does not receive your complete card, bank-account or other payment credentials.

The purpose is completing the purchase, preventing fraud, maintaining the lifetime entitlement and providing purchase support. The legal basis is performance of the purchase contract, compliance with legal duties and legitimate interests in fraud prevention. Recipients are Apple Distribution International Ltd./Apple Inc., Google Ireland Limited/Google LLC, RevenueCat, Inc. and their processors, as applicable to your platform. Entitlement and transaction records are retained for as long as needed to verify or restore the lifetime purchase and meet financial, fraud-prevention and legal obligations. You may request deletion of data held for pezezzle, but transaction records that must be retained by law or are required to preserve an entitlement may be restricted rather than immediately erased. E. TikTok campaign measurement

Where configured in the installed app, the TikTok App Events SDK is initialized only after you separately enable Allow TikTok campaign measurement. It is off by default and is not required to review media. The integration sends automatic install and app-launch events with technical device, app, network, advertising and diagnostic information processed by the SDK, which may include IP address and available device or advertising identifiers. It does not send photos, videos, previews, media identifiers, file names, album names, capture locations, purchases, custom feature events or user-provided contact identifiers. Automatic purchase and retention tracking, enhanced data postback and SDK monitoring are disabled. On iOS, SwipeSort does not request ATT authorization or access to IDFA; the SDK supports Apple's SKAdNetwork measurement.

The purpose is to measure which pezezzle advertising campaigns lead to installations and app launches. The legal basis is your separate consent. Recipients are pezezzle and the TikTok entity and service providers identified in TikTok's applicable privacy and business data terms. You can withdraw in SwipeSort settings; the app then disables this measurement. Withdrawal does not recall data already received by TikTok. Provider data is subject to TikTok's published retention and deletion rules; SwipeSort does not set a separate provider retention period. 6. Recipients and international transfers

pezezzle does not sell personal data. Data is shared only with the providers described above, their subprocessors, professional advisers, and public authorities where legally required. Apple, Google, TikTok and RevenueCat operate internationally and may process data in the United States and other countries outside Switzerland and the EEA. Where required, transfers rely on an adequacy decision or recognized framework, or on standard contractual clauses with appropriate supplementary safeguards. RevenueCat states that its service data is hosted on AWS in the United States.

7. Security

Core photo and video review and sorting take place on the device. Communications with optional providers use encrypted HTTPS transport supported by their SDKs. Access to provider dashboards is restricted, and only the minimum app events intended for each service should be configured. These are proportionate technical and organizational measures, but no device, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

8. Retention summary

Local app data: until removed in the app where available, cleared through device settings or deleted by uninstalling.
Deleted photos and videos: governed by the operating system or photo-library provider's trash and deletion rules.
Firebase Analytics: user-level event data for no more than 14 months; aggregated reports may remain longer.
Firebase Crashlytics: transmitted crash reports and identifiers for 90 days before Firebase begins removal.
AdMob/UMP: local choices until changed or local app data is removed; available device/advertising identifiers and ad-delivery records are retained under Google's and participating partners' published retention rules.
TikTok campaign measurement: consent can be withdrawn in the app; data already transmitted follows TikTok's published retention and deletion rules.
Purchases: for the life of the entitlement plus applicable accounting, fraud-prevention and legal retention periods.
Support email: normally within 24 months after the request is closed, unless legal or dispute needs require longer.

9. Your choices and rights

You can manage photo and video access in Android settings or iOS Settings and manage Analytics, Crashlytics, TikTok campaign measurement and advertising privacy choices in SwipeSort settings. Depending on applicable law, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact contact@pezezzle.com. Because SwipeSort has no account, include the app name, platform and any relevant anonymous identifier shown by the app, but do not send photos, videos or unnecessary identity documents.

You may complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, where the GDPR applies, your competent supervisory authority.

10. Children and intended audience

SwipeSort does not ask for an age, create a user account or intentionally request a child's contact information. Its applicable age rating and intended audience are the ones declared in the current Apple App Store and Google Play listings. pezezzle will keep the store declarations and this policy aligned. A parent or guardian who believes that a child has provided personal data through an optional provider can contact pezezzle for review.

11. Changes

Version 1.3, 13 September 2026: added video review and playback from app version 1.1, local media indexing, separate iCloud preview and video controls, and optional TikTok install and app-launch measurement with its own consent setting. The policy also clarifies the disabled automatic TikTok tracking features.

Version 1.2, 7 September 2026: expanded the policy to cover the iOS release, Apple Photos permissions and deletion confirmation, Apple In-App Purchase and platform-specific privacy settings. The iOS build does not request ATT authorization or use IDFA for tracking.

Future material changes to app behavior or providers will be reflected in a new policy version and effective date. The current policy remains available at this URL.
